What are NetWise’s SMTP Email Validation Codes?

Good / Catch-all / Unknown / Unverified: and other info about validation...

The email validation codes provided by NetWise along with Business emails correspond to these SMTP Validation Codes.

  • Good: This usually means the email will be accurate when sent to and will accept incoming messages. In best case scenarios you should see 80-90% deliverability with these emails with the remaining emails potentially bouncing.

  • Catch-all: The email server at this company does not give any information about specific emails when we checked this email. The email could be good or bad, although, generally, many of these emails will be correct. In theory these should never bounce and should not affect your deliverability, however, in practice we find these perform similarly to our Good emails and you should see 80-90% deliverability with these emails with the remaining emails potentially bouncing.

  • Unknown: These emails have been through our verification processes, but we could not determine the status or do not feel comfortable with the status we obtained given other information we have. We do not recommend sending emails to these addresses.

  • Unverified: These emails have not been sent through the verification process. We do not recommend sending emails to these addresses.
